We find out what actually happens to your enquiries.

Five standardised enquiries to your business over a fortnight, from different channels and at different times of day. Not an opinion about your process — a measurement of it.

At a glance

  • Five enquiries, sent over two weeks, across phone, web form and email.
  • Deliberately timed: working hours, evenings and a weekend.
  • We record what was answered, how quickly, by whom, and what was never answered at all.
  • You get the findings whether or not you buy anything else.
  • Most owners are surprised by at least one of the five.

Why measure before buying anything

Every owner has a view on how fast their business responds. That view is usually built from the enquiries that went well, because those are the ones that get talked about. The enquiries that went nowhere leave no trace: no voicemail, no email, no record of a form that was never picked up.

Mystery-shop research repeatedly finds a large minority of businesses never reply at all — in one study of 466 home services firms, 40% never responded. Those are US figures and we say so. The Response Audit answers the only version of that question that matters to you, which is what your own business does.

What you get back

How it is done

The enquiries are realistic and standardised, so results can be compared between businesses. Nobody is misled into doing unpaid work: we do not request site visits or quotes that would waste your team's time, and the audit ends with a full account of what we sent and when.

What happens next

If the audit shows your responses are fast and consistent, we will tell you that, and there is nothing to sell you. If it shows enquiries going cold, the findings become the baseline any install is later measured against.

Straight answers

Questions about the Response Audit.

Is this a mystery shop?

Yes, in method. The enquiries are genuine in form and standardised so results can be compared, and we report exactly what was sent, to which channel, at what time.

Will it waste my team's time?

Barely. Five enquiries over a fortnight, and we do not ask for site visits or detailed quotes. The point is to measure the response, not to occupy your estimator.

What if we come out of it well?

Then you have evidence that your response process works, and we say so. Not every business has this problem, and the audit exists to find out rather than to assume.

Do I have to buy anything afterwards?

No. The findings are yours. If you do go ahead, they become the before-picture your results are measured against.

How long does it take?

A fortnight to run, then the findings. It is deliberately spread so that evenings and a weekend are included.

Have your own business tested.

Twenty minutes to set it up. Two weeks later you will know what really happens to your enquiries.
