What actually happens on your Monday?

Every owner has a view on how well the business runs without them. That view is built from the weeks that went fine. This takes the numbers you actually run the business on and asks, one by one: who owns it, where does it come from, how often is it late, and who chases it. The answer is a picture of your week, and a score built only from what you type.

Your numbers, not an average

There is no industry benchmark on this page, because everybody else's is invented. The score is arithmetic on your own answers, and the working is printed underneath it.

Nothing is sent anywhere

The arithmetic happens on your own machine. There are no cookies and no tracking on this page, and no address is asked for. Close the tab and it is gone unless you print it.

Yours to keep

Print it, save it as a PDF, take it to your board. There is no pitch inside the result. If it shows your week runs fine without you, it will say so.

Step one of three

The numbers you run the business on.

Eight are suggested to get you started. Rename them, delete the ones you don't use, add the ones you do. Aim for the eight to twelve figures you would actually want on one screen on a Monday morning.

Step two of three

Your week.

Include the ten minutes here and there. Most owners are surprised when they add it up honestly.

Use what you would charge a client for it, or what you would pay someone to take it off you. Your number, not ours.

Anything someone brought to you to decide, approve or answer. A rough count is fine.

Be honest. The ones you decided because it was quicker than explaining count.

Step three of three

Your Monday Score.

Four parts, twenty-five points each. Every part is arithmetic on the answers above and nothing else.

What the answers say

Three findings will appear here, ranked by how much of your week they explain. They are written from your answers, so they will not appear until there is something to say.

This is a picture built from your own estimates. It is not a benchmark and it is not a finding about your business by anyone but you. Its job is to make Monday visible, so that you can decide whether it is worth an hour of your time — with us or with anybody.

Doing this with a board?

Each member runs it themselves and brings the score.

The Monday Score is built the same way for everybody, so it can be compared across a board and re-run each quarter. Nothing on this page is sent to your chair, to GrowthLift or to anyone else — a member shares their result by choosing to. If you chair a board or facilitate a peer group, there is a page for you.

If the week runs through you, Steward is built for that.

Steward gives the numbers above an owner, a source and a schedule, chases the person who owes one, and tells you only what needs you. If the audit says your Monday is fine, keep the printout and ignore the button.
